McLean, VA | November 22, 2011 — SMS, a leading IT services provider and systems integration firm with nearly 40 years of experience providing IT solutions to the Federal Government, announced today it has been awarded a task order from the United States Coast Guard working with contract prime, NetCentrics Corp. of Herndon, Virginia.

The team was awarded a twelve month task order performing information assurance and security interrelated work at the USCG’s Telecommunication and Information Systems Command (TISCOM) in Alexandria, Virginia. SMS, in conjunction with NetCentrics, will provide support to the CG-C4IT IAD with compliance and reporting, information systems security and analysis for all classified, sensitive and unclassified networks across all the Coast Guard divisions. SMS will coordinate with and support both the headquarters and field units with all Information cyber and information system security related activities and the protection of all Coast Guard information systems.
